It Rained!

It's Garbage Day!

64 degrees and drippy at 7:00 a.m.

WKTV's Weather Forecast: "High pressure returns today, bringing a return to sunshine. A mix of clouds and sun today with a slight chance of a shower along the higher terrain. Highs close to 80 degrees. Partly cloudy tonight with lows near 60 degrees. Turning warmer and more humid Friday, with highs in the mid 80s. Our streak of beautiful summer weekends is likely coming to an end this weekend. Thunderstorms are likely both Saturday and Sunday. Unsettled weather lingers into Monday and Tuesday."

Mid-afternoon Wednesday. Puddles on pavement .......

.............. and raindrops on a thirsty field of alfalfa and grasses.

I stopped on Osborn Avenue to ask some of the Gallaghers' "girls" why they were standing up. They just looked at me!

West Main Street looked sort of dreary, at first ........

............ but there were the CHAIRS, brightening things up!

ELSEWHERE

Heads Up!

There's a Speed Checker on newly-paved Berrill Avenue!
(I tried to take a picture while "speeding," but couldn't.)

It appears that the St. Bernard's Catholic Church Rectory
will be getting a new front porch!
