With admiration, affection - and sadness.

K. June Richmond

1925 - 2011

Word spread through the community, yesterday, that one of our best-known residents and most treasured friends had passed away.

To say that "She will be missed by many" is an enormous understatement.
"She will always be remembered with great admiration and affection!" is a little better.

Goodbye, old friend.

It's 27 degrees.

An inch or so of snow fell, yesterday afternoon. It wasn't something that we were looking forward to - or at all ready for - but it did remind me how much I like to see the black & white outlines of the trees and shrubs.

(Hold that thought!)

The WKTV Weather Forecast: "Patchy black ice is possible this morning, though reports coming in suggest it isn't widespread. A chilly finish to the work week with highs only in the mid 40s on today.

High clouds on Saturday arrive as a surface storm passes south of Central New York. The latest information brings the northern fringe of the storm across Southern New York. It may be close enough to bring some flurries to the area, especially south of route 20. We'll keep a close eye on it.

Sunday looks dry and pleasant with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s. Halloween looks cloudy but quiet with highs again near 50."
