*******************

Today is Recyclables day.

It's 51 degrees and overcast at 5:30.

From WKTV: "A beautiful (and well deserved) Wednesday is in the cards. High pressure with lots of sunshine. Highs in the low 70s. More unsettled weather arrives later in the week as another storm system approaches. Thunderstorms will stay in the forecast from Thursday through at least Sunday. Temperatures though look to climb above normal."

It was almost "déjà vu all over again" ..........

and reminded me of the great "Highway Reconstruction Project"of 2005-2007 .................

........... with orange cones and DOT flagmen directing single-lane traffic along both East and West Main Street and around the Park ....

............ but in the end: bright new white lines and crosswalks!

******

Meanwhile, on Osborne Avenue - and without any disruption to traffic - the Village Department of Public Works continued to smooth topsoil on front lawns that border the roadway. It looks as if hydroseeding has been taking place, too.

*************

Across from the Park, at the historic "Brunswick."

A timely announcement on the bulletin board.

On country ponds, well-behaved goslings are afloat!

Next to Loomis Road, Water Avens .............

............. and pink Gilley Flower are in bloom.

In today's issue of The Waterville Times:

- a very special tribute to CPL "Billy" Reese, who was "shot and killed by hostile fire" during an attack in Bihn Dihn, South Vietnam, in August, 1967, by his old friend, "Robin" Conte and a lady whom neither ever met - Patricia Louise - who honor Billy and several other young heroes from Waterville in an especially moving Memorial Day article and editorial.

From WKTV: "Waterville Man Charged with Arson for minor damage to vehicle console."

More when it happens.

Have a good day, everyone!
