It wasn't snowing at 5:30, but now it is! Then it stopped!!

Just for the record: my "snow stake" @ 7:30.

and after about 1" of snow fell, it quit!

..... the temperature is 17.1 degrees at a little after 5:00.
Although a bit of new snow fell during the night, there is no precipitation right now.

According to WKTV, that will change: "Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for Oneida, Herkimer, Madison, Otsego, Chenango, Lewis, Fulton and Montgomery Counties through Wednesday.

Two rounds of snow will impact CNY over the next 48 hours. The initial round of snow will arrive late tonight and continue through the daylight hours of Tuesday. A general 2"-5" of snow is expected north of the Thruway from late tonight through tomorrow, with 3"-6" of accumulation in this time frame expected to the south of the Thruway. By later Tuesday evening this first round of snowfall will taper to scattered snow showers.

A second, more substantial snowfall is slated to arrive very early Wednesday morning and continue through Wednesday evening. By Wednesday evening, many locations across Central New York will likely see a foot or more of snow accumulation. "
