HERE AND THERE

Shocks and Sheaves

on an Amish farm on the Solsville-Augusta Road.

It being Sunday, there were no farmers working in the fields and, therefore, no danger of offending them with my curiosity and camera.

(Thank you for telling me about this, Trudi!)

I recognize that man: it's Ken Paulson!

Worth slowing down to admire ...........

........... a border of "wildflowers" on Sanger Hill Road.

At the Timlake - Tilbe residence south of the village.

**************

Country roads are bordered with Joe Pye Weed -

named after a Native American Indian witch doctor in colonial New England who supposedly cured Indians and Pilgrims alike from typhoid fever, nervous disorders, and kidney problems with tea made from its leaves and who taught early settlers how to use it.

Have a good day, everyone!
