I've just received ths photograph from a blog reader who writes:
"The attached photo was taken approximately 7:00 AM….this morning….at my bird feeder. The animal stands about 18-24 inches tall (at the shoulder). Notice the “hairy” (not velvet) antlers (?....not really sure whether they are antlers or horns)."

This is probably an Indian Muntjac Deer. Isn't there a farm in the Waterville/Oriskany Falls area that keeps exotic animals?
