Wednesday afternoon for Thursday

*********

It's been a very dark and soggy day, today, but - because of all the rain - everything is turning GREEN!

I don't know what the crop is, but it's GREEN!

Some of you won't be as excited to see this as others are:
it's just GREEN GRASS .......... but IT'S WONDERFUL!

**************************

Thursday is GARBAGE DAY!

The forecast from WKTV: "Our weather slowly improves (Thursday) thanks to slow moving high pressure. Some patchy morning fog giving way to a mix of sunshine and clouds. High temperatures are back into the low to mid 50s. Breezy at times, especially in the middle of the day. Clearing out tonight, with frost developing as temperatures fall below freezing. Full sunshine and a nice finish to the work week Friday! Some encore morning sun Saturday followed by increasing clouds and rain showers late in the day. Rain Saturday night and scattered lingering showers on Sunday. Turning unsettled with temperatures remaining seasonable early next week."

It's going to be a busy weekend - especially Saturday!

Starting at 7:30 - and until 9:30 - well-known historian, outdoorsman and author
Bob Elinskas will be doing a book signing at the Country Peddler in Hubbardsville.

Bob Elinskas

" 'Outdoor Notebook' is filled with colorful stories about hunting, fishing and trapping in the area surrounding Nine Mile Swamp, between Waterville and Brookfield. Elinskas knows the territory. He grew up in North Brookfield and went to high school in Waterville." (the Observer-Dispatch.)

To reach the Country Peddler, Take Rt. 12 south about 10 miles. Just past Broedel Energy (on the right) and the Yamaha Shop (on the left) take the first right hand turn and go over the RR tracks. You will be on Green road. Continue through town. As you go up the hill the flagpole will be in front of you and the store will be to the left.

IN THE MAIL

White’s Farm Supply was a sponsor for the 40th Annual WIBX/Slocum-Dickson Medical Group Heart Radiothon on March 4th & 5th in Utica. Art White matched pledges that came in on March 5 while he was on the radio. Many of Art’s friends and customers called in and pledged, contributing to the success of the Radiothon, and America’s Greatest Heart Run and Walk event.

Pictured are Fred Ashforth, Radiothon Chairman, Art, and Linda Lane, Corporate Events Director at the American Heart Association.
