The updated Monday forecast from WKTV: "our next storm system begins to move in from the Midwest. Most of the precipitation with this system will be in liquid form, but with precipitation arriving during the overnight, there is a chance for wet snow or sleet over the higher elevations through early Monday morning, especially for the North Country. The Mohawk Valley and Southern Valleys will see snow quickly change over to rain during the overnight. Everyone changes over to plain rain by Monday morning. Temperatures to the south of Utica will be in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees, while the North Country will struggle to get out of the low 40s.
Rain continues into Monday afternoon and evening before a strong cold front moves into the area late Monday night into Tuesday morning. With the passing of the front, we hear a few rumbles of thunder. Behind the front, temperatures will fall back into the upper 30s with breezy conditions on Tuesday."
ON SUNDAY
The sun shone and the thermometer reached the fifty-five degree mark in Whiskey Hollow.
The bikers were out!
Convertible tops came down!
Easter decorations went up.
Jim Hart, always the first to tackle these chores, was de-gritting his front lawn on Putnam Street.
Jill Getman on W. Bacon Street ..........
.............. and a gentleman on E. Bacon Street were making dust fly.

There were plenty of folks out walking their dogs - or vice-versa - but this fellow seemed happy to sit and join in a neighborly visit on White Street.

Another sign of the season:
It's hard to take pictures of flags because the wind seldom cooperates: this time it did - and if the players would do likewise we'd be happy!
